Aelis Haute Couture Fall/Winter Collection 2019
Haute Couture is a fashion all of its own. It makes people think and makes audiences turn heads. Aelis Haute Couture Fall/Winter Collection 2019 is one of those designer collections that not only made people turn heads, but think about how the state of our world can be combined with fashion to make something memorable and beautiful.
The theme for the collection that debuted on Sunday, June 30th (Haute Couture Fashion Week Day One) was not a vibrant collection, but one with meaningful inspiration. The designer of Aelis said that she looked at photos from outer space that looked down on the earth, and decided to do a line that represents the state of zero gravity.
Taking this into consideration, the color palette used for the collection was the blending of black, white, aqua, and pink. But don’t get the bland looking color palette wrong, the designers offset these weightless designs and rough hemlines with accents of gold and metal chains. Creating a look that was definitely “out of this world”. The use of leather (from animals raised for food) and exotic feathers (collected from bird reserves after falling off naturally) brought a look of nature to the show. The sound of birds played in the background encouraged the actual birds in the surrounding area to lend their voices and enhance the theme that the Aelis House Designer was going for in the coming Fall/Winter collection of Haute Couture for 2019.
Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter Collection 2019
The Christian Dior Label always pulls out its best when it comes to a new collection. Though there are some signature designs, silhouettes, and fabrics; the House of Dior brought out some new styles in order to ask and answer “Are Cloths Modern”.
The designer behind the collection depended on the architecture of the designs as the foundation. Meaning that the focus was on construction, sihouettes, texture, and detail. The collection fully denied color in order for these traits to stand out. With the Ancient Greek look and enchanting weightlessness look of the veiling concepts used, no wonder why they audience was left wondering if their own fashion was modern enough to stand next to the upcoming Fall/Winter Haute Couture Collections of 2019 for the House of Christian Dior.
